Hitting a new high, with low-floor buses

637 new low-floor buses have been flagged off in Karnataka. The Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said, that this move is part of the state’s obligation to provide connectivity to all parts of the State. “Our goal is to connect every town, profit or no profit, so we run buses even to places where there is little profit.

The vision is to provide cheap transport with high-tech facilities, to all parts of Karnataka. The low-floor buses, will operate in 13 towns and cities across Karnataka, equipped with rear-view cameras, security network systems, and ramps for persons with disabilities. The buses will also have a panic button for the driver to contact the control room in case of any emergency.

With these high-tech low floor buses, the Karnataka government has surely hit a new high!
