After hearing a lot of armchair discussion over the steel flyover, it is quite refreshing to hear the voice of the people who are the direct beneficiaries. Over 500 residents of North Bengaluru came forward to show support for steel bridge and staged a demonstration at the Esteem Mall.

Residents from Sahakarnagar, Vidyaranyapura, Yelahanka, Jakkur, Amruthnagar and Kempapura protested against the Citizens for Bengaluru group which has opposed the project citing environmental and aesthetic concerns.

Not only have the residents shown their approval for the project, but also emphasized the importance of the project for the region of North Bengaluru, which suffers from poor connectivity and isolation due to traffic congestions, at present. The residents also reiterated the need to supplement the flyover with metro connectivity.

The residents of North Bengaluru have spoken for the steel flyover. When will you?
